Tempted to Feel – Fearful
Accuser’s Accusation – Look around and be afraid, very afraid. You’d be a fool not to be afraid.
So many things are out of your control.
Gospel Fact – You should say I am Sovereignly Safe.
Gospel Fact # 2 – Romans 8:32
Tempted to Feel – Entitled
Accuser’s Accusation – Look at all that you don’t have (and others do). You are being cheated.
You deserve more.
Gospel Fact – You should say I am Fully and Graciously Supplied.
Gospel Fact # 3 – Romans 8:33
Tempted to Feel – Guilt-Ridden
Accuser’s Accusation – Look at your sin. How could someone like you even think about being
forgiven? Do more!
Gospel Fact – You should say I am Justified by the Sovereign Judge.
Gospel Fact # 4 – Romans 8:34
Tempted to Feel – Condemned
Accuser’s Accusation – How can you escape God’s condemnation? You can’t even escape your
own condemnation, and rightly so.
Gospel Fact – You should say I am Under No Condemnation in Christ.
Gospel Fact # 5 – Romans 8:35-36
Tempted to Feel – Unloved
Accuser’s Accusation – Look at your pain, suffering, and heartache. How could you be loved
when you have to go through all of this? Isn’t he sovereign?
Gospel Fact – You should say I am United with Christ in Love.
